Nashville Gospel Chapel Ladies’ Group

The Gospel Chapel Ladies’ Group is open to all ladies that are members of the Gospel Chapel. We exist to serve the Lord Jesus Christ in conjunction with and in addition to the ministries of the Nashville Gospel Chapel. We support various missionaries and ministries both locally and across the globe.

One of the ministries we support is Horton Haven Christian Camp in Lewisburg, TN. Each month, we give a small monetary gift to the ladies on staff and/or resident staff of HHCC. In addition, at Christmas a love offering is given to these ladies along with a couple of other ladies who, along with their husbands, are commended workers. Our most valuable ministry to Horton Haven is Prayer. Many of our ladies, along with their husbands, commit themselves to pray either on site at camp or at their home each week of the camp season and throughout the year.

The Ladies’ Group helps plan and provide food and decorations for such events as the Christmas Banquet and special events that occur throughout the year. We also aid families during times of sickness or death in the family by providing meals.

Our ladies are also very active in the Samaritan’s Purse Operation Christmas Child shoebox program. Several ladies in our group buy and collect items all year long to put in the shoeboxes while others donate monetarily to aid in these purchases and the shipping of the boxes. Items such as T-shirts, socks, underwear, toothbrushes, hairbrushes, and small gender appropriate toys like dolls, balls, and cars along with school supplies are put in the boxes that are distributed by Samaritan’s Purse around the world. When the boxes are distributed to the children and their families, the gospel is given. Many children along with their parents or guardians have come to know the Lord Jesus Christ because of this ministry. These boxes and the saving gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ go where we cannot. We are thankful to have a small part in what the Lord is doing around the world.

Our business meetings are held every other month and each lady of Gospel Chapel is encouraged to attend and participate. Within the Gospel Chapel Ladies’ Group, each lady has an opportunity to exercise and develop her spiritual gift as she serves the Lord Jesus.
